Adrian Joseph Laurencelle, 70, first son of Robert (Rod) Laurencelle and Elizabeth (Betty) Laurencelle, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday evening, November 7, 2025. He had long expressed a wish to slip away peacefully in his own space, and in the end, he got exactly that.
Adrian is survived by his sons, Michael Laurencelle and Jason Laurencelle; his stepchildren, Leandro Rocchetti, Leonel Rocchetti, Federico Rocchetti, and Nerina Rocchetti; his siblings, Cynthia Goodman, Robert Laurencelle, John Laurencelle, and Yvonne Johnson; as well as three grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren.
Adrian spent his career as a software developer, contributing to organizations including Disney and Florida Healthcare. He also taught software development at Valencia Community College, sharing his technical expertise with students and colleagues alike.
Adrian’s curiosity knew no bounds. He was a voracious reader and his mind was a sponge for information with an extraordinary ability to absorb and recall facts, theories, and stories, often surprising others with the depth and breadth of his knowledge. He was also a passionate traveler, having explored 39 countries across five continents, collecting stories, facts, tote bags and friendships along the way.
He was a storyteller with a strong voice and a distinct point of view. Though not always easy to connect with, Adrian formed strong relationships with people from many walks of life and lived life on his own terms - curious, opinionated, and unapologetically himself.
A private celebration of life will be held in accordance with his wishes.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages acts of curiosity and kindness in his honor - read a book, share a story, or plan a journey.
