Alice was born in Jersey City in 1951. She was the third of seven girls born to Alice and William Leffhalm. The family moved to Carteret in 1958 where Alice attended Saint Joseph school and Carteret high school. As a young bride Alice lived in Carteret and was soon blessed with a son Henry. She remarried and she and her husband Ken Murray welcomed a son William (Billy) and soon after a daughter Kathleen (Katie). The family lived in Carteret and later moved to Leesburg when Ken, a corrections officer, was transferred. Alice enjoyed taking care of her home and family until Ken was again transferred in 1990 and the family settled into a home in the Colonia section of Woodbridge. Alice returned to the workforce working for Eckerd drugstore for many years and later worked for a Quick Chek both in Colonia. The couple retired and in 2010 moved to Cary North Carolina. The couple moved to Deltona Florida in 2017. Sadly. Ken passed away in May of this year. Survived by Henry Dougherty his wife Maggie grandsons Willie and Cameron, son Billy his wife LanaJo grandson Danny and granddaughter Haylee, daughter Kathleen and son in law Kevin Tully, her sisters Susan Kelly, Mary Flannary, Elizabeth Di Lauro and Barbra Zjawin . And great grandchildren Maizy and Cooper Lee .
