Obituary for Ann Lapierre
Ann LaPierre passed away on April 29, 2020. She was born to Leo and Anna Consavage on August 24, 1934 in Waterbury, Connecticut. Ann lived with her family in Longwood, Florida.
Ann was best known by close friends and family as “Grammy”; a name affectionately given to her by her granddaughters. Grammy adored her role as a grandmother to Ayanna and Laila LaPierre. Ayanna and Laila view their Grammy as dedicated, kind, passionate, and loving. They loved to spend time with their Grammy and loved her stories and learning to sew and bake with her. Ann was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 50 years, Leon LaPierre. She was a nurturing and loving mother to her son, Jason LaPierre. Ann viewed her daughter-in-law, Nirali LaPierre, as the daughter she never had. This family was the center of Ann’s world and she truly enjoyed making memories with them.
Ann loved celebrating holidays, decorating, sewing, gardening, and baking. She won awards for her delicious apple pies, which she frequently gifted to those she cared about. Ann has worked as a florist, nanny, housekeeper, and self-employed making silk flower arrangements. She also cherished her role as a mother and homemaker to her family.
Ann loved to give back to the St. Stephens Catholic Church and Community, to which she was a devoted parishioner. She would give her time and effort to help those in her community. The church community became a second family to Ann.
Ann was loved by everyone she met and has had a love for people and a joy for life. Her warm and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Stephens Catholic Community, Outreach Program. The Outreach Program is currently working to assist families in the area affected by unemployment and poverty due to Covid 19. 575 Tuskawilla Road, Winter Springs, FL 32708 (Outreach Program)
