Obituary for Ann T. Scott
Ann T. Scott (nee Trainer) of Longwood passed away on August 23, 2023.
Ann led a full life in her 89 years. She was married to Carroll L. Scott with whom she had 2 children. She was affectionally known as “Granny Ann” to her 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and a recently born great great grandchild. Extended family members and many others considered her to be another “mom” to them.
Ann was a proud 1951 graduate of Jordan High School in Columbus, Georgia. She was a preschool and Montessori teacher for several years and served as church/pastor’s secretary in several churches in GA and FL, including First Baptist Church of Longwood for over 50 years. She taught a Ladies Sunday School class there for many years and enjoyed preparing and sharing those Bible lessons week by week.
She loved to travel and visited countries in Africa and Europe as well as many sites in the USA. She was beautiful inside and out, a kind, generous, and a loving Christian woman – ready to share her love of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
Family and friends will gather at her graveside in Longwood Memorial Gardens (Grant St., Longwood, FL 32750) for a memorial service on Wednesday, August 30 at 10AM.
