Obituary for Anne Ais
Anne Ais (56), a loving friend, sister and mother took her departure from us on Monday, January 17, 2022. She spent her final days in a beautiful ICU room overlooking Lake Estelle at AdventHealth Orlando Hospital with two of her children by her side. From the large glass windows, you can see Lake Estelle and the beautiful city of Orlando stretching for miles. It was a windy, sunny day, not a single cloud in the bright blue sky. The wind danced across the surface of the lake, creating the most beautiful patterns of waves as if the lake itself was breathing; there was a sense of peace.

Our mother knew that it was essential to have a strong sense of humor even when the days seemed dark. She loved to play around and pull pranks on her children and loved ones. Always with a smile on her face, even during her most challenging times. She was a breast cancer survivor. Doctors told her she only had a few months to live and was pressured numerous times to take blood. She stayed true to her faith and knew that only Jehovah God could give life and take it. After being diagnosed with stage four breast cancer, she beat cancer, and God continued to provide her with another 22 years to enjoy life and see all her children as adults.

Anne’s heart was too big for just family and friends; Anne was a lifelong caregiver, constantly pouring her heart into new souls. She served those in need at hospitals, nursing homes, group homes, and most importantly, her home. She loved to give; even during her final hours in one of the facilities she was admitted to, she wanted to tip one of her caregivers that was working a 16-hour shift just to bring a smile to his face.

Her memories will live on in the countless lives she touched. She is remembered by her three children, who she always referred to as her three diamonds. She raised her first son, Raphael Ais, daughter Martine Ais, and her youngest son Anael Ais in the ways of God. Her memories will continue to live on by her surviving siblings, her sisters who are Suze Jules, Gilberte Benoit, Ester-Rose Arstilde, and her brother Jean Michelle Auguste as well as countless close friends and family.

We who write about her or feel her love can preserve her memories by pursuing a happy life and honoring the life she left behind. Continue to stay strong while passing on the same love she generated to those still living.
