Barbara Messer Turner passed away peacefully after a brief illness on December 13, 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Barbara was born April 23, 1948 in Fort Pierce, St. Lucie County, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Bruce Elmer Messer and Opal Evans Messer. She is also preceded in death by her son Scott Speaks.
Barbara is survived by her husband Joh W. Turner, son Ryan Speaks & (Angeline), grandson Shepherd Speaks, sister Judy Melear and a host of extended family and friends.
Barbara grew up in Lake Worth, Palm Beach County, Florida. She was a graduate of Lake Worth High School, class of 1966. She was a woman of strong faith. She put her trust in our Lord Jesus.
She was a devoted loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a friend to all. She was kind, caring, always willing to help others. She knew how to live with much or little. She was noted for being a very efficient organizer, going back as far as her high school days. She dearly loved Jesus, her family, friends, the color green, shopping for clothes and shoes.
Barbara's bright shining light, the sound of her sweet voice, her love and kindness and sweet smile will continue to live in the hearts of so many who were blessed to have known and been a part of her life journey.
