Obituary for Benjamin Basora

Benjamin Basora, born on June 2, 1951, has peacefully departed on October 24, 2024. He was a man whose life was a testimony of love, dedication, and service. He is survived by his beloved children, Benjamin Basora Jr., Fabien Basora, and Frances Basora; his cherished grandsons, Antonio Wynn and Tristan Wynn; along with his siblings, nieces, nephews, and countless friends who were touched by his life.

A devoted husband, loving father, supportive brother, and caring mentor, Benjamin was an exemplary figure in both his family and community. As a Boy Scout troop leader and Union leader, he was a role model of integrity and compassion. Known for his strong work ethic, he was a savvy businessman and a skilled mechanic who provided stability and a safe, loving environment for his family, including the nieces and nephews he helped raise.

Benjamin’s heart was one of gold, always making others feel important and at ease with his humor and kindness. He was known for his steadfast advocacy for justice and fairness, embodying the values of an “Ephesians man,” as described in Ephesians 5:25–28: “Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her… to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word.” Benjamin’s love and dedication were a testament to this scripture, as he selflessly led his home and community with unwavering love, grace, and strength.

To those who had the blessing of knowing him, Benjamin was more than a family man—he was a true leader, an advocate, and a friend whose legacy of love will continue to inspire. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit and impact will remain with us forever.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church in memory of Mr. And Mrs. Basora.
