A loving memory from Father to Son, Blake:
This is not an obituary; this is me talking to my son. Blake, my heart hurts so bad knowing I will not see you physically on this earth again. You were so intellectually smart and had such a concern for the less fortunate . You loved to debate (to a fault sometimes…LOL). You had such a kind soul. You loved animals. Your love for reading was borderline obsessive, yet you were a gamer. I never understood the mixture. You did not like big crowds but enjoyed the amusement parks. We had such good times on our camping trips, and, like all boys, you loved “stoking the fire”. I could go on forever about my boy (young man), but words will never explain the loss or hurt. I’ll await the day that I can see you again with an ardent heart. I love and miss you dearly son. Pops.
A loving memory from Mother to Son, Blake:
Your voice will be missed, but your spirit will live on. You will be remembered each day I wake up. You will be in my thoughts and prayers and I know you are at peace. You were an avid reader and gamer. You had a kind, gentle soul. You gave money to those who needed it on street corners. You could tell jokes like no other. Your love for your nephew and niece was demonstrated how you got on their level and gave them joy. You were a hard worker and desired to succeed. Our countless, hour+-long conversations will give me comfort forever. Man! How you could debate and make me look at things in a different way. You were an intellectual and challenged me. Son, your sweet spirited soul will live with me forever. You were a giver, not a taker, and knowing your heart and kidneys helped three people continue living, would make you happy. All people who knew you will be sadden by your passing. I will always love you and remember you with all my heart. Momma
