Obituary for Camille DeVittorio
Camille DeVittorio passed away on April 16, 2022. She was born on September 14th 1940 in Queens NY. She spent her last days surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Camille is survived by her husband of 59 years Vincent; they have known each other since they were 5 years old, her sons Joe, Matt and Vinny, grandchildren Nicole, Alyssa, Matteo, Danielle, Salvatore, Alec and Camille. Great-granddaughter Lindsey. Daughters in law Jill, Rose Ann and Christine. Grand sons-in-law Kenny and Anderson.
She will be joyfully remembered in our hearts for her unconditional love, compassion and laughter.
There are no words to describe how much we love this woman. We are the men and women we are today because of her. She instilled in us compassion, love, feistiness, fear of the wooden spoon and a sick sense of humor.
Camille was a kind loving person, always putting others before herself. She would call us anytime just to say she was thinking about us.
Camille’s children and grandchildren wanted to share their memories and what “Mom” “Nana” “Boogie” “Bonus Grandma” meant to them.
Spending hours on the phone having deep conversations. Her children and grandchildren always sought her guidance. Camille was the one who keep our secrets.
Some of our greatest memories were sleep-overs, cooking together, lunch dates at Mimi’s, shopping trips, plays, movies, playing cards, driving on the shoulder, playing with Rocky then getting mad when he got too riled up.
It’s going to be so hard to move on but we know she is in a better place. We love you so much. We’re going to miss her witty sense of humor, caring words and her feisty New York ways.
We love you!
