Obituary for Catherine “Kay” Duran
Catherine “Kay” Duran, 84, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 surrounded by family. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, she moved to Central Florida in 1998 from Ludlow, Vermont. Catherine was predeceased by her husband, Andrew G. Duran and her sister, Mary Howley. She is survived by her three children: Linda Seymour, Andrew Duran, and Donna DePreta. Son in Law Mark DePreta and Daughter in Law Carlene Duran. She was known as Grammy by her seven grandchildren: Melissa Hendricks, Amanda Arrieta, Samantha Duran, Kelsey DePreta Gembecki, Mark DePreta, Ryan Duran and Leah Duran and 4 great-grandchildren: Cole Gembecki, Sophia Arrieta, Connor Gembecki, Owen Hendricks.
Kay was known for her love for her family, her sense of humor, and her famous Christmas lace cookies. She was active on social media and loved watching her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren grow and experience all that life had to offer.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted Monday, April 4 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Old Howell Branch Road, Winter Park.
