Cecelia A. Deptula, 62 of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away at her home after a short
illness on Sunday July 25, 2021. Born on June 30, 1959 in San Diego, California,
“Cessie” was the daughter of Joseph Deptula and Elizabeth Houston Deptula of
Jackson, GA. She is survived by her son Sammie Surrell Johnson III of Winter Springs,
FL, daughter Crystal Ann Johnson and son-in-law Graham DiGuiseppi of Pittsburgh,
PA. She is survived by her siblings: Michelle and Stephen Hand, Joseph and Gail
Deptula, John and Ruby Deptula, Sandy Seymour, Mary Lou Hauser, Valray McDonald,
Robert and Angel Hauser, and Florence Hauser, as by many nieces and nephews.
Cessie was an avid gardener, a storyteller, and her family’s genealogist. She loved
riding her bike, cooking polish dinners, studying history, science, and religion, and
chatting with her friends and family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Deptula, Elizabeth Deptula, and
Bevley Deptula; and her brother Jack Duane Hauser.
