Chuck Masters was born, an only child, in Syracuse, NY. His parents, Charles and Mildred Gertrude
Miesch Masters moved to central Florida where his dad worked for Martin Marietta during the space
boom era. He learned his love of the outdoors from them. There are only two seasons – hunting and
fishing. He graduated from UF and went into teaching. He loved mentoring the young people and was
always trying to make them understand right and wrong. He retired in 1999 when the school board
wanted him to put grades on the computers. He was a big-hearted man who loved the outdoors and the
truly hurting and broken people of our world. He was a member of the Eustis Gun Club and the
Chuluota Gun Club. Loving the outdoors, he moved to Chuluota on five acres and enjoyed 40 years
there. He will be missed by his wife, Linda, of 43 ½ years . He is survived by a cousin and second cousin
and a large family of in-laws on his wife’s side. His stories of his life particularly after he retired will be
told for many years to come. Please share those stories with those you meet.
Because of his big heart for children, donations can be made to the Florida Sheriff’s Youth Ranch Inc., P O
