Obituary for Christopher A. Hill
Christopher Alden Hill passed away May 7th, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by loved ones who continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest. Chris was born to Xenia (Terry) Dimitriou Hill and Herman Hill, Jr. in St. Louis, Missouri, on September 12th, 1955. As a child, he grew up in Severna Park, Maryland, where he spent time fishing and sailing with his father and siblings. Chris was an avid lacrosse and soccer player through his adolescent years and played at Randolph-Macon College.
As an adult, he explored all the nature Florida has to offer, spending many years in Central Florida and his island home in Southwest Florida on Little Gasparilla Island. He was a master fisherman and was happiest in endless adventures with family and friends on the water. When not on the water or fishing, Chris could be found rooting for his beloved Florida State Seminoles and keeping the family football thread active with his jokes, memes, and "interesting" articles. Go Noles! In more recent years, he began weaving paracord as a hobby. He enjoyed gifting a piece of his art to everyone. Chris loved Godzilla, through his battle with cancer he deemed it his mascot, sharing a figurine with all his loved ones in remembrance of "no surrender ever."

Chris is survived by his wife Darlyn Hill, his mother Xenia (Terry) Dimitriou Hill, his siblings Paula (Charles) King, Leslie (Robert) Henderson, Zoë (Richard) LaPointe, and
Nicholas (Candy Jo) Hill, his children Rebecca (Alan) Giles, Lauren (Justin) O'Keefe, Nicholas (Janessa) Hill, and Crystal Hill, and his three grands Kali, Kendal, and Karleigh O'Keefe. He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Hill, Jr.

Chris married his wife, Darlyn, on a dinner boat, the Grand Romance, in the waters of Lake Monroe and The St. Johns River in 1990. While we mourn his passing, we ask you to join us in your garnet and gold, back on the waters of Lake Monroe for a celebration of his life on July 11th, 2022, at 1-4 pm at 520 On the Water, 520 N Palmetto Ave Sanford, FL 32771.
