Obituary for David Lamar Crockett

In loving memory of David "Lamar" Crockett, who passed away on Thursday, January 24th at 9:00 PM. Lamar , 71, was born in Thomaston, GA. Lamar grew up in Thomaston with his brother Curtis. Thomaston is where he met his "Best Half" and love of his life-Gloria. To this day many are surprised he ever landed such a catch.
Lamar served 10 years in the Army National Guard-only deployed into action once; all the way to Valdosta, GA.
Lamar and Gloria moved to Florida where they would raise their 2 boys Chris and Brian. Lamar would teach his boys the love of football {Georgia Football of course}, Baseball, canoeing, and fishing. He loved those boys almost as much as the Bulldogs.
Lamar was blessed with 4 beautiful & spoiled grandchildren Sydney, Wyatt, Adelle, & Grady-all at an early age converted to Bulldog fans.
Anyone that knew Lamar knows he loved his wife, his sons, and his grandchildren.
Lamar, despite his frequent scowl was a loving man-he loved his Dawgs, cold beer, warm beer, country music, dancing with the ladies, his grandchildren, his boys, and most of all his wife.
Lamar is survived by his wife Gloria, sons Christopher & Brian, grandchildren Casey, Sydney, Wyatt, Adelle, & Grady, his brother Curtis, 3 great grands, and GOD WILLING another NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP BULLDOG TEAM in the near future!
Go Dawgs-Sic 'em!
