Obituary for Elizabeth Yandle
Elizabeth (Betty) Yandle, 89, of Winter Park, passed away peacefully at her family’s home on September 7, 2020. She was born March 10, 1931, in Cleveland, OH, to her parents Charles and Nellie Stiles.
​Betty graduated from Clearwater High School and received a Bachelors Degree from Maryville College. She married Captain Billy C. Yandle on December 21, 1954. During his career in the Air Force, they traveled to many exciting places including Japan, where they were stationed for three years. After Billy retired from the Service, they settled in Winter Park, FL. Betty worked for the Orange County school system in various positions. She always loved working with children. Betty volunteered her time as a dividend and helped at her church with Vacation Bible School and in the office. She also enjoyed playing bridge, shopping and she loved a good milkshake! Without a doubt, Betty was her granddaughters’ biggest cheerleader. She attended every dance class, game, competition or function that she could. She loved her family dearly.
​Betty is survived by her daughter Beth Brasol and her son in law Scott; granddaughters, Casey Bilskie, Bailey Anderson, and Averey Brasol; niece, Susan Brinson.
​At this time, the family will have a private memorial with a celebration of life to be held at a later date.
