Obituary for Ethel Dioguardi
Ethel (Joan) Berrie Dioguardi, at 87 years of age, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 25, 202 In Orlando, Florida. Ethel is survived by her six children, as well as several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Married at age 18, Joan raised their six children while setting up households in several locations around the United States, including Germany and Taiwan. While her husband was stationed in Taiwan, she got involved With family services, helping new families get settled themselves.
In 1973, Joan became a directory assistance operator for Southern Bell, where she continued to work for the next 20 years.
She participated in a local bicycle club, The Florida Freewheelers, going on numerous rides with both Robert and a few of their children. She was also involved with the CWA Pioneers and actively helped with the Russell Home for Atypical Children.
Funeral services will be held at the First Christian Church of Winter Park, on October 17 at 11 am.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Russell Home for Atypical Children here in Orlando.
