Franklin John Thurston, 88 of Winter Springs, Florida passed away on Monday, May 12, 2014, at his home in Winter Springs.
Born Monday, January 18, 1926 in Mount Vernon, New York, he was the son of the late Frank Thurston and the late Margaret Minogue Thurston. He was the husband of Patricia Humphries Thurston.
He was a retired Mechanical Engineer.
He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church.
Surviving are his wife, Patricia Thurston, sons, John Thurston, Paul Thurston and James Thurston, daughters, Christine Pauls, Barbara Weaver and Amy Thurston, 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Joan Arthur.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 15, 2014, 9:30 AM at St. Stephen Catholic Church located at 575 Tuskawilla Road Winter Springs, Florida with Father John J. Bluett as Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Mr. Thurston.
