Obituary for George W. Russell, III
George William Russell III, 48 of Apopka, FL passed away on October 11,2021. His passing was unexpected and painless. He was suffering from complications of covid and was admitted to Advent Health South. During his 10 days in the ICU the doctors and nurses gave him exceptional care and put forth every effort to help care for him, but his heart couldn’t fight the septic shock. We appreciate their efforts and the genuine compassion they showed him & us during his stay there.
He was preceded in death by his father George Russell II. He leaves behind his loving and devoted wife Rachael Russell, his loving mother Zora Russell, and his son Dalton Russell. George was always a hard worker who loved his family and would do anything to make them smile. He would give anyone the shirt off his back and was never short of compassion to those in need, to say he had a big heart would be an understatement! His laugh was contagious, and smile could light up the room.
His passion for playing the drums and the love he had for his dogs was an amazing sight to see. He had a great passion for watching his favorite football team the Pittsburgh Steelers play on Sundays, especially if they won. We will greatly miss his crazy sense of humor and thoughtful insight. Although he may no longer be with us physically, I know that he is with us in spirit. He will be deeply missed and forever loved beyond words.
