Obituary for Gregg Lawrence Darlin
Gregg Lawrence Darlin, of Winter Springs, Florida passed away on Monday morning, October 8th, at the age of 63. He was predeceased by his sister, Debbie Darlin Van Kleeck, in 1990; his brother, Richard Darlin, in 2008, and his father Lawrence Darlin, in 2014.
He was born on May 22, 1955 in Sidney, NY and was the 3rd born of Lawrence Darlin and Beatrice Goodrich Darlin. Gregg was raised in Wells Bridge, NY where he was an active member of the Wells Bridge Fire Department. He graduated from Unatego High School in 1973.
He moved to Orlando, Florida in 1983 and was employed by Tom’s Snack Foods, working his way up to buying his own distributorship in the Florida Keys. He met his wife, Sally in 1990. They travelled across the country in 1991 and got married in a hot air balloon in January 1992. They gave birth to their son, Kyle, in November 1992, and their daughter, Kristin, on New Year’s Eve of 1994. He was a self-taught entrepreneur and was self-employed for the majority of his life working primarily in real estate and construction.
He is survived by his wife Sally of 26 years; his son Kyle Darlin of Salt Lake City, Utah; his daughter Kristin Darlin, of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; and his mother, Beatrice Darlin of Lake Mary, Florida; his niece Sherri (Kenneth) Strewn of Lake Mary, Florida; and his nephew Richard Darlin Jr. of Spring Hill , Florida.
He was a generous loving husband and father who will be missed everyday by family and friends.
