Obituary for Gretchen Geneva Doyle
Gretchen Geneva Doyle, 89, of Casselberry, Florida went to be with the Lord on February 14, 2020. Gretchen was born on January 25, 1931 in Albia, Iowa to parents, Fred and Marjorie Geneva. She and her parents moved to Florida when she was in Junior High and later graduated from St. Petersburg High in 1948. Gretchen went on to attend the University of Iowa School of Nursing where she graduated in 1953 with her nursing degree. On April 4, 1953 she married Robert (Bob) Doyle who she had known since childhood. They moved to Winter Haven, Florida in 1955 due to Bob’s career has an air traffic controller and later transferred to Orlando. In 1967 the family settled in Casselberry where they built a lakefront home that the family still owns today. Gretchen was an active member of Community United Methodist Church of Casselberry. She is survived by her son Jerry J., Casselberry, her daughter Lori L. Krause (David), Casselberry, six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brother-in-law John W. Doyle (Nancy), Vacaville, California and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Burial and family graveside service will be at Oakview Cemetery in Albia, Iowa.
