Guy peacefully left this world and entered heaven on December 21st, 2025 surrounded by his loving family.
Guy (Gui) was born on January 4th, 1941 in Montreal Canada, the son of Roland and Yvette Carbonneau, where he began life with his sisters Jocelyn and Louise. At the age of 6, Guy and his family moved to Miami, Florida where they became US citizens. Elementary school was a challenge for Guy as he spoke very little English but over time picked it up.
After elementary school Guy attended Archbishop Curley High School where he would become a High School All-American football player and much later in life be inducted into the Archbishop Curley High School Class of 59' Hall of Fame. Although that was a significant accomplishment, his biggest achievement was meeting his high school sweetheart and future wife, Florence Hyland.
On July 15th, 1961 Guy married Florence Hyland and together they were blessed with two sons, Guy Anthony and Clinton James. A loving husband and devoted father, Guy always put family first and was an active participant in creating elaborate family reunions and holiday gatherings. His love for family was passed down to his sons, a gift they continued to share with their own families.
Guy pursued a very successful career in the field of technology, originally starting as an engineer at RCA in Palm Beach Gardens, and then taught electronics courses at the Rochester Institute of Technology in New York. He was awarded patents for inventing the very 1st Braille printer for the visually impaired, which was placed at The Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. It was with that patent that Guy started his own company Triformation Systems in Stuart that focused on serving the visually-impaired community with new enabling technologies.
Guy had many passions but probably none more important to him than boating, fishing, and SCUBA diving. In fact, his passion for SCUBA diving led him to become a Master Diver where he taught recreactional diving at Florida Institute of Technology. While pursuing his personal passions, he created a lasting legacy among his family and friends.
