Fred Adams, aged 85, of Altamonte Springs, passed away after a courageous battle with illness lasting 4.5 years. Born in Miami, Florida, Fred spent 40 years in the vibrant community of his birthplace before relocating to the Orlando area. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hazel Adams, his brother James Adams, sister Hazel Adams, and his son Jim Adams.
Fred was a proud graduate of Jackson High School in Miami, where he completed his education with the Class of 1956. Following his graduation, he embarked on a career with the family business, Adams and Beagle Roofing, where he dedicated himself to his craft. Later, he transitioned to Cooperative Roofing upon moving to Orlando, where he continued to excel in his profession.
In 1987, Fred found love once again when he married Carol Smith, forming a blended family that included three boys and three girls. Together, they created a warm and loving home filled with laughter and joy. Fred's greatest joy in life was his family, and he cherished every moment spent in their company. He leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be carried on by his 16 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Fred was a man of many interests and passions. He had a deep love for airplanes, often spending hours marveling at their design and engineering. Photography was another passion of his, capturing precious moments and memories to treasure for a lifetime. Fred had a keen sense of adventure and enjoyed traveling to new destinations, exploring different cultures and cuisines along the way. He had a particular fondness for visiting presidential libraries, where he immersed himself in the rich history of the United States.
Among his loved ones, Fred was known as the "cookie" taster, always eager to sample the latest sweet treats and offer his opinion with a smile. But above all, Fred valued the simple pleasures of life - spending time with family, enjoying good company, and indulging in delicious desserts.
Fred's presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. His kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone he met. Though he may be gone, his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Rest in peace, Fred Adams.
