Obituary for Jack Evan Strum Jr.
Jack Evan Strum Jr of Winter Springs, Florida passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at his home with his family at his side.
Jack was born August 3rd, 1945 in Morris, Illinois to Jack and Elinor Strum. The family relocated to Orlando, Florida when Jack was in the 4th grade. He graduated from Edgewater High School in 1965. Jack enlisted in the United States Marine Corps later that year. He proudly served his country as a Marine and was stationed in Phu Bi, Vietnam in 1967 – 1968 as a Helicopter Electrician and Door Gunner; returning home to Orlando in October 1969 with an honorable discharge from the Marine Corps.
Jack was married in February 1993 to his wife Barbara and was a loving husband for over 30 years.
Jack worked for Lockheed Martin Corp until retirement in 1997.
He enjoyed the simple things in life, spending time with his family, watching a good movie, going to concerts to see his favorite performers and cooking.
Jack lived his life with strong faith and love for the Lord.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Elinor Strum, his brothers Thomas and Marc Strum along with his niece Ashley Strum.
Jack is survived by his wife along with a son Jack J. Strum of New Hampshire, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
