Jim was also an avid golfer and you could always find him on the course with his friends. He also volunteered in Security during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, GA.
Jim is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy Roberts Hunt; and his daughters and their spouses Kim and Chris LaRocca; Syd and David Smith, all in the Orlando, FL area and his grandson, Hunter LaRocca of Orlando. He is preceded in death of his grandson, Scott Brogdon LaRocca (25) who passed away almost 1 year to the day on May 20, 2021, and preceded his brother Larry Brogdon Hunt, and his surviving wife, Jeanette Hunt of Adel, GA. He has many nieces and nephews who also loved him dearly. He loved his family with all of his heart and always had a smile on his face and such sweet words to anyone who came in contact with him. He never met a stranger. He loved to tell stories, spend time with his family and was loved by so many friends, students and teachers over the years during his time as administrator in the Berrien County School System. He had such a kind and gracious heart and helped so many students in need. He was always found walking the halls of the school whistling, singing and stopping by the teacher's room to tell a joke or two. He always chose to do more for others than he did for himself.
