James (Jim) F. Mumblow passed away December 25, 2022. He was predeceased by his parents, George A. Mumblow and Helen Lucas Mumblow, sister Betty Garner and brother David Mumblow. He is survived by his beloved wife Carey Allen, treasured stepmother Mary Cullen (Glenn), daughter Emmalynn King (Jim), son Brendan Mumblow Chandler, sister Kathy Gray, brother Mark Mumblow (wife Dale), brother Michael Mumblow ( wife Patsy), Emma Mumblow (David’s widow), in-laws Suzanne Norman (Tom), Jeanne Mehrtens, Nancy Parkins, along with three grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Jim was born in Schenectady, NY in 1950. After high school, he served in the Army, attended trade school and became an electrician. He worked in industries ranging from a steel mill to electrical contractors. In Florida, he always lent a helping hand to friends and neighbors for home projects. His favorite pastimes were sports (Miami Dolphins and Tampa Bay Bucs football, Orlando Magic basketball, and Tampa Bay Rays Baseball), and enjoying beaches, boating, and live guitar music.
Memorable highlights in recent years included trips to visit Emmalynn, Jim, and grandchildren Fionna and Ryan, and celebrations on both Florida coasts with his wife and relatives. He will be missed by all.
