James H. Reffner, age 92, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024 with his family by his side at the Advent Health Hospital in Altamonte Springs.
He was born in Fallen Timber, Pennsylvania on April 22, 1931 to the late Ivan and Freda Reffner.
James married Carole (Breitenbucher) in 1962. He dedicated time to the Navy and was a Veteran of the Korean War. After the Navy, he worked for 35 years at Eastern Airlines. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting. His hobbies included fixing things and building with wood. He especially loved spending time with his family and telling stories of his life.
He is survived by his three children, Patricia Noble of Altamonte Springs, Florida, James and his wife Chantal of Saint Marys, West Virginia, and Michael of Apopka, Florida; six grandchildren, Nicolette, Thomas, Ashleigh, Sarah, Matthew, and Christopher; three great-grandchildren; and his sister Sondra Spalla of Binghamton, New York.
Besides his parents, James was predeceased by his wife Carole in 2022; his daughter Cathy in 2019; his sister Vivian Sides; and his brother Frank.
