Obituary for James S. Daniel, III
James S. Daniel III, 82 passed away peacefully on Monday, September 13, 2021. Jim was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and a proud Navy Submariner who served 20+ years in the U.S. Navy.
Jim was born on November 15, 1939 in Omaha Nebraska. When he was just 17, he joined the Navy and was eventually stationed at Naval Station Argentina, in Newfoundland Canada where he met the love of his life Zita Kerwin. The two soon married and were blessed with 4 amazing children, 8 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
After retiring from the Navy in 1976, they moved to Winter Springs, where Jim started his own commercial laundry business. He maintained, sold and serviced laundry machines for a large portion of the Central Florida toursist district hotels.
When he wasn’t working, Jim had a passion for golf. He ran the HCPGA and Dusty’s Duffers for years. He spent much of his time with his son Jason, making popcorn and watching football on Sunday afternoons. (Go Dolphins!) Jim loved going to breakfast with his grandkids and attending all their activities like Katie’s dance recitals, Ryan’s drum concerts and Ethan’s Piano concerts.
James was predeceased by his wife Zita Daniel, children Francene Daniel and Shawn Daniel. He is survived by Jason Daniel and James Daniel IV.
We will forever love and miss our beloved Papa.
There will be a committal service held at All Faith’s Memorial Park on Friday, September 17th @ 10:30 at 1390 Park Drive, Casselberry, Fl 32707.
