We are heartbroken to announce the loss of our beloved mother, sister and friend, Janet Elizabeth Reed (Fusco). On Monday, October 10, 2022, in Longwood, Florida, at the young age of 77, Janet went onto her next life to be with the Lord peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with COPD and congestive heart failure.
Janet was born in Queens, NY on March 3, 1945. She lived her life as a Christian and always took care of others. Janet was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister. She loved and adored her Grandchildren as if they were her own. She had a great sense of humor and would always make you laugh. She was the most generous person you could ever meet and dedicated her life to making sure those around her always had a place to stay and were taken care of.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Ethel E. Fusco, sister, Judith McGovern and brother, Walter J. Fusco. She is survived by her three children, loving son, Daniel J. Richardson (Mariah), two daughters, Terri L. Crockett and Donna E. Dixon, sister, Susan L. Fusco, nephew, Francis J. Paolillo and many other beloved nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Janet lived a full life and was grateful for all things life had given her. She was an unbelievable artist, and enjoyed woodworking. She will be remembered for her endless effort to make certain everyone had everything they needed. Above all, Janet was a spiritual, kind-hearted, beautiful woman who will never be forgotten. She was and will remain one of the bravest, strongest and yet one of the toughest women in our lives. Our family is deeply grateful for all the time we had together.
Janet is now at peace with the one true God. She is deeply loved, revered, and missed by all who knew her.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at 12:00 p.m., at Promise Church located at 561 Orange Avenue, Longwood, Florida 32750.
