Obituary for John W. O'Leary

John William O’Leary, 78, of Winter Springs, Florida, passed away on April 12, 2022 after a long and hard-fought battle with COPD. John was predeceased by his wife Sally (Johnson), father John William O’Leary, mother Helen (Walter), sisters Ellen (Kuehl) and Susan (Ahern), and brother Tom. John is survived by his sister Kathleen “Kate” (Fieweger); son John Wlliam O’Leary III and his wife Lori (Gaulton); daughter Erin Jane O’Leary and her husband Anthony Garganese; son Ryan Patrick O’Leary and his wife Amie (Scarratt); grandchildren Eimile, Isabella, Alessandra, John IV, Angelina, Patrick, Sean, and a baby girl who is on the way; and his special friend Christine Jorin.
John and Sally moved their family from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to Winter Springs in 1983 so that John could take a sales position with a new company called Taylor Made Golf Company. John was one of the original sales representatives for Taylor Made and helped pioneer the sale of metal woods in the golf industry. John and Sally later worked together as sales representatives for other golf-related products in the golf industry before retiring.
John was known for his love for his family and his immense Irish pride.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Leiomyosarcoma Foundation at https://nlmsf.org/donate/.
