Obituary for John L. Ferring
Ferring, John, L. 82 of Winter Springs, FL died on Monday, January 23, 2012. Born in Newark, NJ; son of Louis and Lucille Ferring. John in his life was a New York City firefighter and FDNY Union Official. In Florida, John was a dedicated Winter Springs Commissioner, community member, and loyal parishioner of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church. John was everyone’s go-to-guy. He was a loving husband, father, and friend to all. John is survived by his sons; John, Steven, and daughters, Carol, and Patricia along with nine loving grandchildren.  To our beloved Dad and Poppy, All of us miss you terribly and hope God appreciates you as much as we have with all the love you have given us.  Oh how we wish that He did not take you from us so soon. We will hold you in our hearts and prayers forever.  A viewing will be held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church Chapel on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 6:00-8:00PM with a wake service to be conducted at 6:30PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday on 11:00AM at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.
