Obituary for Joseph B. Nesbit
Joseph Bailey Nesbit, 81, passed peacefully at his home with family by his side in Altamonte Springs, Florida on January 15, 2023.
Joe was born January 22, 1941, in Sunbury PA, the son of Bailey Z. & Mary Elizabeth (Rohrbach) and youngest brother to William (Joan) and Richard (Linda).
Joe was a proud 1960 graduate of Sunbury High School and a 1963 graduate of Williamsport Technical College, both in Pennsylvania.
Joe was a devoted and loving husband to Beverly Ann Stewart Maag for over 34 years.
Joe was preceded in death by his daughters Brenda (Martin), & Cathy Nesbit. He is survived by his children Judith (Timothy), Scott Maag, Vicki (Mike) & Nicole (Ray), as well as 9 loving grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
Joe enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, and volunteering in community outreach for many years, as well as attending worship services. He attained many professional career achievements, including over 45 years in the field of civil engineering, city planning, and technical/architectural design. He retired from Black & Veatch, Orlando in 2015.
He leaves behind a legacy of compassionate grace and mercy. He made a difference in the lives of countless people. His strong faith, love for God, and belief in Jesus Christ carried him and his family through the years.
