Karen Aldrich Keoheuangpraseuth, 57, of Lake Mary, Florida, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Karen was born on July 15, 1968, in Gouverneur, New York, to Lois Aldrich Canning. She moved to Florida with her family on September 15, 1978, where she built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and lasting memories.
Karen was predeceased by her stepfather, Donald Canning; her mother, Lois Canning; her brother, Harold “Tom” Canning; and her nephews, Jeffery Luangratkhamkeo and Nicholas Canning.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Soulivanh “Nikk” Keoheuangpraseuth; her brother, Robert Aldrich; her sister, Barbara Luangratkhamkeo, and her husband, Nos; her sister, Bonnie Canning; her brother, Shawn Canning, and his wife, Kari; and her sister, Tammy Canning, and her husband, Ariel. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and her beloved dog, Chapo. Karen treated all of her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children, showering them with love, laughter, and care every chance she could.
Karen worked as a professional house cleaner and took great pride in her work. She was known for her kind heart, her quick wit, and her joyful spirit. She loved spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the beach, dining out, and listening to her favorite music. Karen had a special gift for making people laugh and for finding joy in life’s simple moments. Her warmth and light touched everyone who knew her.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at Banfield Funeral Home, 420 North State Route 434, Winter Springs, Florida, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. A reception will be held afterward at Karen’s home, 275 Abbott Avenue, Lake Mary, Florida 32746.
Karen will be remembered for her strength, her laughter, and her boundless love for her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
