(Nee Karen Irene Scott; Formerly Karen Irene Franklin)
Karen passed away on January 22, 2024 while in hospice care after an extended time of illnesses while being a caregiver to her mother.
She was born in 1954 in Brunswick, GA, to Carroll and Ann Scott (both deceased) in 1954. She was a Christian, a member of Baptist Churches and active in music and mission programs.
Karen was educated in FL public schools, having graduated, with her beloved National Honor Society membership pin, from Lyman High School in Longwood, FL in 1972.
She married twice and, with her husbands, had opportunities to travel throughout the USA and to other countries. Karen was the very proud mother of a son (deceased) as well as being “Mimi” to two grandsons and one great grandson.
An avid equestrian, she and her husband Larry (deceased) owned a “farm” on which they raised and showed her beloved Morgan horses. Career-wise, Karen was also a business woman - including owning and operating a real estate title company.
Her family and friends remember Karen as a loving, caring confidant – always asking “How are you doing?” And always ready to listen to the answer.
A memorial service for Karen Irene Wyatt will be held on February 8, 2024, 11AM at the First Baptist Church of Longwood (891 East State Road 434 Longwood, FL 32750).
