Obituary for Kimberly Hamilton
Kimberly “Kim” Hamilton, 64, born in St. Louis, Missouri on February 28, 1956, and passed away on October 15, 2020. She moved to Florida in 1968. She was the daughter of Marlene “Cookie” Walker. She is survived by her husband, Tal Hamilton, her daughter, Aubry Hamilton, her two brothers, Timothy Murphy and Robert Walker, and her sister Susan Plaxico.
She’s graduated from Lyman High School and is a graduate of UCF with a B.S. degree in Math Education. She was an educator for 27 years with over 25 years at Indian Trails Middle School, where she earned the Teacher of the Year awards in 2010 and 2018.
Kim is remembered for her love of teaching, her very active involvement supporting the Winter Springs High School band and chorus with her daughter, her fondness for reading, and her love of college football. Kim’s friends and family describe her as quick-witted, selfless, and loving. She will be remembered as a devoted loving wife, mother, sister, and friend.
Regrettably, due to COVID restrictions, the memorial service will be closed to only family. Guests are encouraged to attend the internment at Highland Memory Gardens at 4 pm on October 28th. Following the internment, a celebration of life will be held at Victorio’s Oyster Bar and Grill at 300 Dog Track Rd, Longwood, FL. 32750. Please consider, in lieu of flowers, donating to the Winter Springs High School Band or Choir.
