Obituary for Lawrence G. Roush
Roush, Lawrence G., age 65, of  Kennedale, Texas, passed away on 10 October 2006 of natural causes in his summer residence in Ruskin, FL.  He was born in Des Moines, IA on 3 February 1941 and lived in a variety of locations based on the companies with which he worked.  He graduated from Truman State College in 1960 with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture.  He worked in the defense industry and held a series of progressively challenging and upwardly mobile positions with many of the major Fortune 500 companies.  This included Business Development Manager, Honeywell, West Covina, CA; 1978-1979; Division Director, CONRAC – Systems West Division, Duarte, CA, 1980-1981; Director of Marketing, Honeywell, Training and Control Systems Division, West Covina, CA, 1982-1988; Vice President, Hughes Electronics, Hughes Training Inc., Arlington, TX, 1988-1999; President and CEO, Systems Communications International, Dallas, TX; 1997-1999; Vice President, Consumer Networks, Inc., Tampa Bay, FL, 1999; Vice President, General Physics Corp., Elkridge, MD, 2002-2004; President/CEO, Systems Communications, Inc., Troy, MI, 2002-2004; President/General Manager, GSE Systems, Inc., Columbia, MD, 2004-2005; and President, Atlantis Systems America, Orlando, FL, 2005-2006. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Jean Roush and children, Austin, Lawrence, Kevin and Shelly.   A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at Banfield Funeral Home located at 420 W. State Road 434, Winter Springs, FL 32708, (407-327-1500) on Wednesday, 18 October 2006 at 2:00 PM.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the trust Fund established for Mr. Roush’s youngest son, Austin T. Roush at Washington Mutual Bank, Acct  No. 344-629348-7
