Obituary for Luis Alonso Barahona
Luis Alonso Barahona, age 80, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, surrounded by his family and loved ones.
He was born on June 29, 1945, in San Miguel, El Salvador.
Luis lived a beautiful and blessed life. A hardworking man, he took pride in everything he did. He found joy in fishing at the beach, listening to oldies, savoring a good glass of wine, watching the Yankees, Giants, Knicks, or Barcelona, and most of all, being surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 53 years, Virginia; his children—Nancy, Kevin, and Jessica; his eight cherished grandchildren; and his sister, Isabel.
Luis’s faith and strength guided him throughout his life, and now he rests peacefully in the arms of God. Though he will be deeply missed, his love, laughter, and spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
