Obituary for Lynn Ann Cava
Lynn A. Cava, 62, passed away the morning of March 31, 2018. She was born on May 15, 1955 in Madison, WI. In 1961 her family moved to Tallahassee, Florida. Lynn attended Leon High School and graduated with honors in 1973. She then attended Pensacola Junior College and received her Associate in Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1975. In 1982, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Allied Health Sciences from the University of Florida. She practiced for over 30 years, brightening everyone’s smiles everywhere she went.
Lynn was the loving mother of two beautiful children, Bryan Rand and Kathryn Rand. In addition to her children, she is survived by her husband Eugenio (Gene) Cava Jr., whom she married in July 2001, and her brother Scott Stursa. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Mary Lou Stursa.
In addition to her love of making smiles brighter, Lynn had a passion for fitness. She tried to make it to the Lake Mary YMCA everyday, sometimes twice a day, for a Zumba or Yoga class. When her daughter would come into town, they would always go work out together.
Always the life of the party, Lynn was well known for her laugh and ability to talk to anyone about anything and everything. Her funeral service will be held at St. Stephen’s Catholic Community at 11am on Friday, April 13t​ h​. Visitation will begin at 10:30am.
