Marie L Grover
Lake Mary, FL - Marie L. “Mary Lou” Grover, (90) formerly of Dalton, MA died on January 1, 2025 at Grand Living Park at Lake Mary.
Born in Pittsfield, MA on April 5, 1934, daughter of the late Oscar and M. Louise Moser, she was a 1952 graduate of Pittsfield High School, where she was very popular and the class vice president, she was also a 1953 graduate of the former Pittsfield Secretarial School.
She was employed by Drs. Curran, Drescher, Ladha and Stowe at Pediatric Associates (Pittsfield, MA), GE Ordnance and Power Transformer (Pittsfield, MA) and GE Information Services (Rockville, MD). She retired from the University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL) in 1998.
Mary Lou was a communicant of St. Stephen's Catholic Community in Winter Springs, FL, where she was very active. She loved her walks, golfing, gardening, reading and crossword puzzles, her Siamese cats, visiting with family and friends, and traveling with her husband. She was always well known for putting others before herself.
She and her husband Gerald F. Grover, were married July 30, 1955, at Sacred Heart Church in Pittsfield, MA.
Besides her husband, she leaves three sons, Michael Grover (Diana) of Burlington, KY, Shaun Grover (Jonathan) of New York City and Fairfield, CT, Kevin Grover (Tricia) of Newtown, CT and her daughter Lynn Quinn (Timothy) of Hinsdale, MA. She also leaves her sister Christina Berry (Hank) of Alexandria, VA and Boynton Beach, FL.
She is the beloved grandmother to Matthew, Kelsey Tafuna (Freddy), Courtney, and Brittany Quinn, Angela, Victoria, Jonathan, Juliet and Patrick Grover. Also, great grandmother to Ana, Bella, and Winnie Tafuna.
Mary Lou was predeceased by her great granddaughter Malia Tafuna and her brother Renee Moser and his wife Annette.
Funeral Services will be on February 4, 2025 at San Pedro Center, 95 Bishop Grady Lane, Winter Park, FL, by Rev. John Bluett at 11:00 AM. A memorial mass will be held at St. Agnes Church, Dalton, MA, at a later date.
