Mark Volchko, age 57, of Sanford, Florida, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was born in 1966, in Chicago, Illinois, the beloved son of Peter and Patricia (Harding) Volchko.
Mark was a proud member of the first graduating class of Lake Mary High School in 1984. He pursued his education further at Seminole State College of Florida. Throughout his life, Mark was an accomplished professional, serving as the owner and managing director of Realty World Preferred in Lake Mary, FL, as well as Realty World Mountains in Waynesville, NC. He was an active real estate broker across Tennessee, North Carolina, and Florida, and he took immense pride in his achievements in the field.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Mark was a man of diverse interests and talents. Mark was a motorcycle enthusiast, relishing every moment spent on his bike. He enjoyed motorcycle trips with friends, camping adventures, and visits to his mountain house in North Carolina, always accompanied by his beloved dogs. Mark was also committed to maintaining a healthy lifestyle, regularly engaging in workouts and adhering to a balanced diet. A natural athlete, he excelled in various sports, from soccer to golf to ping-pong, and more recently, he found joy in playing pickleball. In addition to his other pursuits, he also had a deep passion for music and was skilled in playing both the guitar and drums. Mark had a zest for life and embraced every moment with enthusiasm and laughter. He had an incredible sense of humor that endeared him to all who knew him.
Mark is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa (Young) Volchko. He is also survived by his loving sister, Stefanie (Craig) Wollam, brother Doug (Cecilia) Volchko, nieces, cousins, several great friends, and his cherished puppy, Macchiato.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his two dogs, Chopper and Vegas.
A gathering of remembrance will be held on Sunday, February 18th from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the 4th Street Bar & Grill, 132 N 4th St, #1200, Lake Mary, FL. Family and friends are invited to join in and share stories of his remarkable life.
Mark will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
