Obituary for Mary Beth Eby
Mary Beth Eby (Leischow), age 82, passed away on March 14, 2026. She was born on May 15, 1943, in Marquette, Michigan.
Mary Beth graduated from Sault Area High School in Sault Ste. Marie in 1961. She went on to dedicate more than 45 years of her life to serving others as a registered nurse, a profession she loved deeply.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Leischow and Vivian Cherrette; her brother, Stevie Leischow; and her sisters, Linda Watson and Gracie Kilgren.
Mary Beth is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Tom Eby; her children, Amber Flategraff, Robin Morphew (Rob), Missy Young (Spence), and Tom Eby (Bevin); her siblings, Josie Hartman, Richard Leischow, LeAnne Oeffinger, and Lisa Smith; as well as eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A devoted parishioner of Saint Augustine Catholic Church, Mary Beth’s faith was the center of her life. She cherished her church and her family above all else.
Mary Beth will be remembered as loving, funny, quick-witted, and full of spirit—a true spitfire. She never met a stranger and had a remarkable gift for connecting with everyone she encountered. Her warmth and vibrant personality will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
