Obituary for Mary Patricia Leone
Mary Patricia Grady Leone passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 23, 2025. Born on January 30, 1940 to the late Dr. John and Mary Daly Grady in Salem, Massachusetts, Mary is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Fred Leone, stepchildren Paige (Jeff) Adams, Jill Leone, John (Stacey) Leone, grandchildren (Lauren, Sarah, Michael and Tyler), great-grandson Scotty, and extended family, including her brother Philip (Terry) Grady of Wakefield, MA and their daughter, Jennifer Grady. Mary is pre-deceased by her brothers John Grady, Jr., Dr. Richard Grady, and Peter Grady.
Mary relocated to Florida in 1965 and was a long-time resident of Melbourne, Florida. She earned two master’s degrees from Florida Institute of Technology in mathematics and business, and always excelled in math and science. Mary had a successful career at Harris Corp. and was most proud of her years post-retirement when she served as a math professor at Brevard Community College where she inspired many students through her passion for teaching. Mary enjoyed golfing, dining out with good friends, raising money for charitable organizations, and spending time with family.
At Mary’s request, there will be no formal ceremonies. Please celebrate her privately, as her light will shine eternally.
