Obituary for Mary Teresa Wallace
Mary Teresa Wallace, Age 73, from Winter Springs, FL passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 22, 2019.
The Memorial Service & Mass with Celebrant, Father John Bluett, (Pastor & Long Time Family Friend) will be held on Thursday, January 9th at 11:00am in the chapel of St. Stephen Catholic Church - located at: 575 Tuskawilla Road, Winter Springs, FL 32708.
To express your gratitude for our Beloved Mary; a reception will immediately follow the Mass at the church in the community hall. In lieu of flowers; Contributions are welcome at: Pathways To Care, Casselberry, FL and The Hope Community Center, Apopka, FL.
Mary retired from Community Health Centers in Orlando, FL after thirty (30) years of accomplished service. She was a loving mother, dear friend and active parishioner at St. Stephen Catholic Community Church.
Mary’s commitment and dedication to selfless giving, her gracious demeanor and endearing spirit will be cherished forever. She was active on the Board of Directors for Catholic Charities of Central Florida for many years and a Board Chair Member for Pathways To Care Since 2002.
Mary loved civic engagement and she was instrumental in the success of the annual Soup Bowl Supper, fundraising benefit for Pathways to Care from 2013 to 2018.
Mary enjoyed traveling, especially to Ireland and Cape Cod, having “Mercy Me” moments of laughter with friends and family. She Also loved to Crochet Scallop Shell stitched baby blankets, cook and make delicious homemade breads, apple pies and cookies.
Mary was born in Massachusetts and lived in Manomet, MA before permanently moving to Florida in 1986. She graduated from the Brockton Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse and was the daughter of Susan Rice, John E. Sullivan, Sr. and Margaret (McNamara) Sullivan. Mary was the devoted mother to her only daughter, Jennifer Wallace (Jen) and a dear friend to many.
