Obituary for Michael Anthony Mark
Michael Anthony Mark was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He suddenly passed away on February 16, 2023, at 8:20 pm at the age of 70, surrounded by his loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy. His battle with serious medical issues in recent years showed his courage and strength in facing life challenges with a smile. Despite the pain, Mike came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.
Michael Anthony Mark was born on July 22, 1952, in Elizabeth, NJ, grew up in Scotch Plains, NJ then later resided in Winter Springs, FL. Michael is a retired truck driver and mechanic that enjoyed customizing cars in his younger days and playing the drums and guitar. When he became a grandfather, he gave his heart and life to his grandchildren that he truly adored.
Michael is survived by his ex-wife, Cindy Mark, of 21 years also the mother of his four children, Jessica Bender, Michele Mark, Kristan Mark and Michael J. Mark. He is also survived by his brother, Anthony (Tony) Mark and six grandchildren, Angelica Mark, Isaiah Crisp, Christopher Crisp, Lauryn Steward, Alanna Crisp, and Kendrick Crisp. He is proceeded in death by his mother, Gloria Mark, father, Anthony (Red) Mark, sister Antoinette Mark, and grandson, Ashton Payne.
Visitation/Vigil will be open to family and friends from 9:30-10 AM followed by a memorial service on Saturday, February 25, 2023, from 10-11 AM at Banfield Funeral Home located at 420 FL-434, Winter Springs, FL 32708. Burial services will follow, located at Edgewood-Greenwood Cemetery; 141 Edgewood St, Apopka, FL 32703. To conclude with a celebration of life at the family’s home in Apopka.
