Obituary for Michael Scohera
Michael Scohera, 61, went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2019 after a ten-year health battle. Mike was born December 15, 1957 in Rockledge, FL to Nicholas and Lorraine (Parise) Scohera. He graduated from Merritt Island High School in 1976 and attended Brevard Community College where he met his wife, Sue in 1980 and they married in 1983. Mike was an avid runner, loved racquetball, and crossword puzzles. He loved being part of the Space Program for over twenty years with Morton Thiokol, Martin Marietta, and Boeing Corporation. He then went on to work with Cocoa Hyundai and Headquarters Hyundai.
Mike was known for his beautiful and prolific writings to the love of his life, Sue as well as to his children, friends, and his Pastor. He experienced the power of prayer which turned him into a faithful prayer warrior. Over the last years, Mike had a heart and faith to share how God miraculously allowed him the privilege to live many years after his life expectancy. He also had an amazing sense of humor and family and friends never knew when they would be the brunt of his jokes. He especially loved to leave hilarious phone messages to brighten your day.
Mike is survived by his dad, Nicholas. His wife of 36 years, Sue, their children, Tony, David, Jeffrey, and Miranda (Dane), and grandchildren Addison, Jude, Charlotte, Sophia, and Abigail. Brother, Nick Scohera (Rita), sisters Mary Scohera (Eric) Mosel, and Leigh Ann (Steve) Thomes. Nephew, Carson and nieces Madelyn and Abigail. Mike’s mother, Lorraine preceded him in death. He also has a host of brother and sisters-in-laws (the Bishops), family, and friends who loved him dearly.
