Obituary for Nelly Basora
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Nelly Basora, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, who left us peacefully on May 13, 2024. Her final days were spent surrounded by her loving family.
Born on March 10, 1956. Married to her beloved husband, Benjamin Basora, together they built a life filled with love and devotion. Her legacy is carried on through her children, Benjamin Edward Basora, Fabian Marcus Basora, and Frances Basora, and her treasured grandsons, Antonio Francis Wynn and Tristian Nathaniel Wynn.
Nelly displayed warmth and nurturing love to every life she touched. Her home was always filled with laughter, delicious aromas, and the sound of encouragement. She was renowned for her unbeatable beans and pork chops, and fondly remembered from her days at Cornell Elementary for her irresistible chocolate chip cookies. Nelly dedicated her life to caring for her husband, kids, and grandkids. More than anything, she was a second mother to many, nurturing not only her grandchildren but every child she cared for with immense love and dedication.
Her encouragement and reminders of each person's inherent beauty and worth were gifts that many will carry with them forever. Her spirit, characterized by spunk and a mother’s love will continue to live on in the hearts of thes who loved her.
As we mourn her loss, we take comfort knowing she rests in peace and beauty. Heaven has indeed gained a beautiful soul. We are comforted by the precious memories she leaves behind, which will sustain us until we meet her again.
