Obituary for Patricia A. Thurston
Patricia Ann Thurston, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and GG, was reunited with the love of her life, Frank, her beautiful daughter, Joan, and is in the arms of the God she loved and devoutly followed. Pat died peacefully in her Mt. Dora home on August 17.
Patricia loved to dance with Frank, to travel with him, to sail with him. She enjoyed cooking and was good at it! Pat belonged to a bridge group, where she not only played cards, but happily socialized. She loved a good party, meeting new people, and joining in the fun.
Her earthly children, Christine, Barbara, John, Paul, James, and Amy were so blessed to call her Mom. Patsy Ann was mother-in-law to Tom P and Tom A, and Mike, and they truly were like her own sons. And Pat was so grateful for her loving and caring daughters-in -law, Jeannette and Jackie and Darlene, who were so very special to her.
Patsy’s grandchildren, Christopher (and Melissa), Karen (and Brandon), Matt (and Elis), Kelly (and Tiffany), Jesse (and Jeanette), Ben, Christopher (and Flavia) and Tim, loved her dearly, and she was so happy to spend time with them. Her great grandchildren, Stephanie, Kristin, Kylie, Sean, Jemma, JD, Parker, Luke and Jordan and Lya, lovingly called her GG.
GG was in heaven on earth when she was surrounded by her family, and we will all miss her terribly.
Please join the family in celebrating the life of Patricia Ann Thurston, who lived 96 wonderful years. Pat peacefully passed away on August 17, 2023, in her Mt. Dora home surrounded by family. The funeral mass will take place at Saint Stephens Catholic Church, 575 Tuskawilla Road, in Winter Springs, FL, at 10:00 a.m. on October 13, 2023.
We invite you to join us immediately after the service for a celebration of her life at the clubhouse at Chelsa Parc and Fox, 1500 Braewick Street, Winter Springs, FL, for refreshments and fellowship. As we continue to celebrate Pat’s life, we welcome anyone who would like to share their favorite stories and memories of her.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Saint Jude’s, a favorite charity of Mom’s.
