Richard Thomas Evevard IV left us on August 28th in Oviedo, Florida, ending his battle with stage 4 colon cancer, a diagnosis he received 3 years prior.
He was born on December 28th 1984 in Columbus, MS to Richard and Melissa Evevard. He moved to Winter Springs, FL in 1989, where he graduated from Winter Springs High School (class of 2004), and where he would spend the majority of his life.
He was quirky and goofy; always pulling faces to make you laugh. He was quick-witted and brave-hearted, facing life’s obstacles with a grin on his face.
He spent many years on the road traveling, as he was an avid cosplayer, most notably using his likeness as a Walking Dead character, Daryl Dixon, and was a popular personality amongst The Walking Dead cosplay community.
Despite his diagnosis, Richard was constantly in motion, out riding his bike or going on walks to take in nature and its wildlife. He loved hardcore music, and going to shows, some of his favorite bands being Iron Reagan, Midnight, Wolfbrigade, and Municipal Waste. Over the years he took up many hobbies, ranging from collecting comic book related collectibles, fantasy/role play board games and card games, horticulture, and aquaculture to name a few. He enjoyed reading and loved to spark conversations or a debate about politics and current affairs, maybe even a conspiracy theory or two.
Richard is survived by his father, Richard Evevard III and his mother, Melissa Fisher; sisters Rachel Evevard and Genesis Brown; brother Noah Houston; niece Sydney Evevard; nephews Maxwell Evevard-Larson and Jacob Brown; grandmother Alice Evevard; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.
