Obituary for Robert Andrew McNichol Jr.
Robert McNichol Jr. passed away July 31, 2021 at the age of 35. He was born in Orlando, Florida February 1, 1986 and is survived by his Grandmother Mary Sweeney McNichol, Father Robert McNichol Sr. and Mother Mary Mitchell McNichol, his wife Michelle McNichol, daughter Monica and Son Zachary. Sister Christine, Brother James and Sister-in-law Julie. Nephews Noah, Michael, David, Bryce, Rylan, Kian and Niece Brianna.
Robert lived his entire life in Central Florida going to Bear Lake Elementary School, Teague Middle School, Lake Brantley High School and Seminole State College. Growing up he kept busy with basketball, football, track and field, wrestling, band, ROTC and Boy Scouts. In scouting he earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2003 with Troop 203. He would later become the Assistant Cub Master of Cub Scout Pack 4 that his Son Zachary was member of and would move to Troop 203 as an Assistant Scoutmaster once his Son crossed over to Boy Scouts.
Robert loved his family dearly and his daughter Monica was truly Daddy’s little girl. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved working with wood and building things, just a few weeks ago he built a custom set of end tables for his Aunt Charlene. He also loved spending time at the family cabin in Central New York which thankfully he was able to enjoy last month with some of his family. He was a great man with a great sense of humor who touched a lot of lives and will be missed immensely by all who knew him.
Robert loved God and America and we are encouraging everyone to wear patriotic colors to celebrate his love for his country. Also, there will be some loved ones attending Robert’s memorial service that have various health concerns and we are encouraging everyone to wear a mask while inside Banfield Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Epilepsy Foundation to help find a cure.
