Obituary for Roberta Parker Holliday
Roberta Parker Holliday was born November 26, 1939 to the late Robert Whittingham Parker and Mary Will Kilgore Parker in Erie, Pennsylvania. She passed peacefully in her home in Winter Springs, Florida on November 13, 2019.
Survivors include her children, James Wayne Holliday and wife Paula of Odessa, FL and Kimberly Holliday Bates and husband Robert of Winter Springs. Also surviving are her three grandchildren, Hannah and Heath Holliday and Margo Bates.
She is further survived by siblings Julie Whittingham Parker, John Allen Parker and his wife Christine, Jeffrey Christopher Parker and his wife Christina, as well as a sister-in-law Diane Parker Baughman all of Erie, PA.
In addition to her parents, Roberta was pre-deceased by her husband David Scott Holliday and three siblings Thomas Parker, Robert Parker and Carolyn Parker.
Roberta was a graduate of Erie Day School and St Vinvcent High School in Erie. She then earned a degree from Katherine Gibbs School of Boston. In her early years as a homemaker she enjoyed involvement in The Woman's Club of Winter Park, volunteering through the Junior League of Greater Orlando, and she took an active role in her children's Parent Teacher Associations. Her professional years were spent as a bookkeeper for various Central Florida business owners.
Roberta spent her later years enjoying sewing, crafting handmade greeting cards, and dedicating time to her family. She especially delighted in her role as a grandmother. She will be dearly missed and always remembered with great love.
