Obituary for Rocco John Mondo
Rocco John Mondo, 58, of Oviedo Florida, passed away July 6th 2024 following a long illness. Rocco was a devoted father,talented football coach,hilarious friend, and loving husband.
He was born in New Haven Connecticut, and raised in Longwood Florida. Rocco was a talented athlete, playing football for Lake Brantley High School and running track for the University of Florida. When it was time for Rocco to retire from his own athletic career, he continued to use his talents to successfully coach and guide his children in their respective sports.
Rocco is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rocco and Josephine Mondo and by his maternal grandparents Hugo and Carmela Raccuia. Rocco is survived by his wife,Susan, daughter, Molly, sons Joseph, Christopher, and Ryan, parents Dorothy and Rocco, sister, Alyssa, brother in law, Jerry, and niece Sydney.
Rocco will be remembered by his sense of humor, love of animals, and the kindness that he showed everyone he met. He will be immensely missed.
